We’re just over a month away from our annual Highlands Fibre Fling!
There’s a map to get you here.
People are talking about it, and arranging rides.
The workshops are all set up, with full information on this page. Ron and I will be teaching dyeing skills in Dyeing 101 on Friday and Sunday (take both to learn more techniques!) And we’re very pleased that Meghan Jackson of Butterfly Knit will be teaching a class chock full of skill-building based on her Oh So Quiet scarf/shawl (shaping, intarsia and so much more!)

(All workshops take place at our home studio…located on the map above, and with a maximum of 8 people per class, this is an excellent opportunity for individualized instruction)
We’ve arranged our first community partnership for the event, with the Forest Festival!
Sean Pennylegion, director of the Forest Festival here in Haliburton is offering a special rate on tickets to Saturday night’s concert (August 18) featuring Amanda Martinez (http://www.theforestfestival.com/martinez.html ) in the historic Logging Museum at Base Camp. (The venues for the Forest Festival are incredible and unique…always a good show)
Tickets: $25.00 +HST (reg ($34.00+hst) per ticket Please email Brianna to claim your tickets! firstname.lastname@example.org
If only we could decide on what kind of piñata to have this year…
