The Push is ON!

10 Days left to vote for Places for People to receive a $100,000 grant from the Pepsi Refresh project!

Today’s note from Fay Martin says:

Places for People has done astonishingly well over the past couple of weeks – we go up a point a day when we’re in run mode.  In 13th place with 12 days to go means we could do it, if we can just get a few more shoulders to the wheel for this crucial last lap.
The goal I visualize as I vote is to surpass the St. Lawrence College group who want to put solar panels on the food bank – they’ve been at #6 since the start.  Then we’ll take aim on the animal shelters…

To remind you, Places for People is an organization in Haliburton County Ontario that buys old houses and renovates them to create affordable rental housing for low-income families.  And once a property has been rented, they keep a portion of the rent in trust for the family to be used for education or for buying their own home when they are ready. They provide a hand-up, not a hand-out.

Thank you to all of you who have been diligently voting every day.  Especially those of you voting from SEVERAL email addresses…you’re as crazy as I am! 🙂 Remember you can vote once per day per email address (Otis has 2…and he doesn’t even have opposable thumbs)

VOTE!
