Update: Haven’t You Always Wanted a Platypus?

Knitty’s Anniversary Yarn              Giftapalooza Sign ups

Hello!  It’s been a while.  Have you missed us?

Today’s update will include MCN Sock and kits for a brand new pattern.

****************************************************************************************************
Email orders to: orders@indigodragonfly.ca to place all orders.  Let us know: 1)  what you would like to purchase, 2) where you live (province/country), and 3) whether you would like us to wind your yarn into cakes (charge of $1 per skein with proceeds going to our Otis Houndation).  A PayPal invoice will be mailed to you that includes airmail shipping (or surface mail if you’re in Ontario).  Please allow approx. 1 – 2 weeks for delivery in Canada, 1 – 3 weeks for deliveries to the United States, and 2 – 8 weeks for international shipping (and possibly a bit longer depending on where you are). For Smart-Ass Club members, please let us know in your order if you want the yarn to be sent with your Club shipment to save some $$$! For further information, see the bottom of this post.

Full ordering/shipping details are here.

Introducing Platypus

Selina S has a brilliant, slightly wacky mind.  I know.  She’s just our kind of designer.  Platypus is a unique fingerless mitt/glove pattern with webbed fingers.

Yes.  Webbed.  Weird?  Perhaps, but this also means a unique construction: no knitting separate fingers.  Really.  These mitts are warm, comfortable, wearable and just offbeat enough to be a fun gift for that hard-to-knit-for person in your life.

(C’mon Chase, you know you want some of these…)

Each pair takes 1/2 skein of any sock weight yarn.  Today, we’re offering kits in MCN Sock.

FULL KIT (makes 2 pairs): 1 full skein of MCN Sock + PDF pattern (we’ll send you a code for Ravelry so you can download it into your library) – $30

HALF KIT (makes 1 pair): 1 1/2 skein of MCN Sock + PDF pattern – $18

MCN Sock – merino/cashmere/nylon blend – 400 yards per skein – 115 g – $28

Please indicate whether you want to order MCN Sock alone, a Full Platypus kit or a Half Platypus kit.  All prices are in Canadian funds.  Conversion for all other currencies will be done through Paypal.

  1. Want! Want so badly it hurts! But it’s going on my Christmas list (in the Buy-for-Me-or-DIE! category) so I must be patient. Darn you and your inevitable cool ideas….

  2. Mark was rather excited about the stuffed animal, as he has asked for one of those for Christmas (but his is coming all the way from Australia). He thinks the one in the picture actually looks like a psyduck (Pokemon reference). Gandalf made me laugh out loud!
